Jasmine
Jasmine
ORIGIN - Fuding, China
Jasmine originated in Persia, and was first imported into China in the year 220. Jasmine scented tea was first produced over 1000 years ago, during the Song Dynasty period in China (960-1279) is now served throughout northern China to guests as a welcoming ritual. To create our rich and aromatic version, the finest leaves are plucked from big, old growth tea bushes in Fuding, China, then infused with newly-opened, wild-picked Jasmine flowers.
We recommend pairing with a plate of pork and chive dumplings and your favourite weekend breakfast crew.
TASTING NOTES
Bursting with the persistently heady nose that is quintessentially Jasmine. The silky liquor, whilst floral, has a generous complexity of flint, maple and butter that dazzles the palette.
