ORIGIN - Wuyi, China

Created during the Qing era to satisfy the Armies travelling through the Wuyi mountain area. Local tea growers were forced to hurry the drying process and inadvertently created this unique tea. To create our delicious version, the Souchong - the older leaves of the shoot - have been hand harvested, they are dried and slowly smoked over roasting pine in bamboo baskets, creating an intense and unmistakable tea.

We recommend pairing with a good tea flask and a hike to a mountain-top view.
